1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account via your individual email address, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that you agree to these terms. If you are using the app on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.

2. User Accounts

• You may need to create an account to access certain features.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities that occur under your account.
• You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. User Content

• You are responsible for all content you post, share, or transmit through the app.
• By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, modify, publish, and distribute such content.
• We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms or is otherwise objectionable.

4. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

• Posting or sharing illegal, harmful, or offensive content.
• Harassing, threatening, or impersonating others.
• Using the app for unauthorized commercial purposes.
• Distributing spam or other unsolicited communications.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the app, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, are the exclusive property of Handshake or its licensors. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute any content without our prior written consent.

6. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, without notice, for any violation of these terms or for any behavior we deem inappropriate.

7. Disclaimers

• The app is provided on an "as-is" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
• We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Handshake shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of the app.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Handshake and its affiliates from any claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your use of the app or violation of these terms.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting on this page. Your continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

11. Governing Law

‍We collect data through cookies and similar technologies.

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Washington State, United States of America.

12. Pro Membership Contract Terms‍

Upon purchasing Pro Membership users commit to a six-month agreement, during which time Handshake commits to no price adjustments or increased membership for the zip codes purchased. Upon the completion of the six-month term, Pro members can retain their zip code on a month-to-month basis. In the event a Pro Member elects to cancel their membership status within the original six month term, customers will be responsible for paying for the remaining months in the agreement.
